Frequently Asked Questions

If you think your child may benefit from occupational therapy, give us a call.  We provide a free consultation to determine if occupational therapy would be beneficial.  Once determined, we complete a comprehensive assessment, provide recommendations for therapy and work with you to develop a treatment plan.

It is up to each family whether they would like to pursue onging therapy services.  Therapy services are set up as a recurring weekly session, so your child's appointment will be the same day and time each week, with the same therapist.  The sessions are 50 minutes of direct therapy time with 10 minutes of consultation/parent education time at the end.  

We complete a thorough assessment of your child that includes standardized testing as well as clinical observations to determine deficits in underlying skill sets that lead to disruption in daily occupations.  

The assessment includes direct time assessing your child, a comprehensive report write-up, and a parent meeting to discuss results and recommendations.  

No, however, we can provide a super bill and the documentation necessary to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  Although there is no guarantee, many families are able to get partial to full reimbursement for therapy sessions.

At this time, we do not provide home-based services.  Many of the children we work with require specialized equipment to meet therapy goals.   We do offer virtual teletherapy visits if appropriate for your child.
